While it's always exciting when a new restaurant opens here in Rhode Island, we also love our tried-and-true eateries we all know and love. Since 1954, The Greenwood Inn has been a local favorite for family dinners, special occasions, date nights, and gatherings with friends. The team has done an excellent job of managing the chaos of the past year, and the restaurant is now open for indoor dining and ready to help you make more memories.
The Greenwood Inn first opened in 1954, and it has been a beloved local icon in Warwick ever since.
The interior is classic, cozy, and downright homey...
... and the outdoor patio is especially popular, especially after recent events.
The team kept the patio opened nearly all year, adding heat lamps to keep patrons as warm as possible.
The menu here is quite large, offering everything from classic American cuisine to Italian favorites and casual fare.
The homemade lasagna is especially popular.
If you can't decide between seafood and pasta, don't worry -- you won't have to.
The Greenwood Inn also serves quite a selection of steak and chops, including a Bourbon Angus Steak (top sirloin) and hearty prime rib on the weekends.
There's even a separate pizza menu here, and it's outstanding.
Many of these menu items can easily be made gluten free as well. There's a special gluten free menu to help you decide what's best for your needs.
The Greenwood Inn is open on weekdays from noon until 8 p.m., and they close at 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
If you're still more comfortable with takeout, just order your meal online and it will be waiting for you when you go to pick it up. You can even order tasty party platters for your small gatherings at home.
