Feast On Fresh Coastal Cuisine At Flat Waves Food Shack In Rhode Island
Flat Waves Food Shack in Middletown offers a unique blend of Hawaiian and Mexican-inspired coastal cuisine.
If you've ever been to Southern California's beach towns, you've probably enjoyed tasty fish tacos, nachos, and other Mexican-inspired coastal cuisine. Add a little Hawaiian influence and you've got the menu at Flat Waves Food Shack, a laid back eatery in Middletown that serves a casual menu full of coastal favorites. Recently, their dining room opened back up (with limited seating), and they're ready to serve you their delicious delicacies.
Flat Waves Food Shack was founded in 2010, promptly becoming a beloved local staple.
The menu was originally inspired by the classic Hawaiian plate lunch.
Since opening, their inspiration has grown to include food and decor from beach and surf destinations around the world.
They like to call it "Cali Mex Fusion." We like to call it delicious.
Here, you'll find an array of tacos, which you're welcome to mix and match.
And with classics like grilled chicken and carne asada plus short rib, fish, and veggie tacos on the menu, you'll definitely want a variety.
The rice bowl meals are also extremely popular, and for good reason.
Each rice bowl comes with your choice of protein, rice, sauce, a side, and black beans.
The Beach Nachos are also a best seller, and the wraps made with brown rice and veggies are a healthy choice.
And if you're in the mood for a tropical treat, try an acai bowl.
Flat Waves Food Shack will even cater your private event.
Treat your loved ones to a taco bar or even an acai bar.
Flat Waves Food Shack is currently open Monday - Saturday at 11 a.m., closing at 8 p.m. during the week and 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Of course, their hours are subject to change, so check their website or Facebook page before you go.
