Enjoy Coastal Cuisine And Cocktails Right On The Ocean At The Andrea In Rhode Island

The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar offers a unique dining experience directly on Misquamicut Beach with stunning views and a rich history.

There's never a bad time to call The Ocean State home. However, we can all agree that summer is a particularly lovely time to live here. Nothing beats a warm summer day at the beach -- except, perhaps, a warm summer day looking at the beach with a cold cocktail in your hand.

The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar has officially opened for the season, signaling the kickoff to another beautiful summer.

The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar is located directly on Misquamicut Beach in Westerly.

We're not kidding. It doesn't get any more "on the beach" than this.

The Andrea was originally built in 1912, when it was used as a bed & breakfast.

In 1946, Ralph Colucci bought it and converted it into a hotel, expanding the restaurant and adding a bar. It's still run by the same family today.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy destroyed most of Misquamicut’s beaches and businesses in 2012, including The Andrea.

The family decided not to re-open the hotel, but to focus exclusively on the restaurant and bar.

The Andrea opens every May, enticing guests with its seaside location and tropical cocktails.

Choose from classics like margaritas and daiquiris or go for something off the Andrea Favorites list. They even have Drunken Gummies, boozy gummy bears.

As you can imagine, seafood is the main cuisine here, although you can always go for a burger or sandwich if you're in the mood for something else.

From mussels and clams to crab cakes and scallops, you'll always have a variety to choose from.

The menu changes slightly each year, depending on what's available -- but you'll always be able to enjoy the classics.

And if you can time your dinner for sunset, you'll have the most amazing views.

The Andrea is currently open Friday - Sunday, but come June 1, they'll be open during the week as well.

Reservations are recommended, especially the Beach Reservations, which fill up fast.
