Get In The Halloween Spirit With A Visit To This Scarecrow Village In Pennsylvania

Three cheers for October! Are you one of those people who counts down the days until Halloween? Well, if you are, you know that Halloween isn’t just a day. It’s a month jam-packed with fun events and activities. But, if you’re not quite as into the bewitching month, you might need a bit to inspire you to get in the spirit. Like a visit to this scarecrow village in Pennsylvania.

Peddler's Village transforms into a magical scarecrow village every autumn.

In fact, plenty of fanfare and an annual scarecrow festival - held in mid-September - kick off the celebration. (Keep an eye out for the 40th Annual Scarecrow Festival next September.)

Stroll down the brick sidewalks to admire the scarecrows, all part of the competition to crown the best ones in the village.

And, while you're admiring the scarecrows, stop to visit some of the more than 60 shops on the sprawling 42-acre grounds of Peddler's Village.

Then, relax with a delicious bite to eat at one of the more than dozen eateries, such as Buttonwood Grill, Hart's Tavern, and Peddler's Pub.

Or, if you prefer a tasty treat instead, stop by Nina's Waffles & Ice Cream or the Lucky Cupcake Company's Village Bakery.
