Deep in the Pennsylvania forest, for example, is a three-tiered waterfall. Called by some the most remote waterfall in Pennsylvania, it’s a must-visit, and it doesn’t require too much effort to reach it either.

If you're new to Sproul State Forest and are up for an adventure, follow the 2.4-mile Round Island Run Falls Trail. It's short, so you don't need a whole lot of time to complete it.
Hikers waiver between it being easy and moderately difficult, but it really depends on your experience and skills. The terrain is quite rocky, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes.
Because it is so remote, you likely won't run into many other hikers. You probably will, however, share the path with salamanders and other local wildlife.
Wear shoes that will do well in slippery conditions. When you near Round Island Run Falls, you'll find a staircase with a rope handrail. The stairs can get incredibly slippery, so be careful when walking up and down.
