Trundle Manor is one of those places that needs to be seen in order to get the full scope of what it is. Located on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, this roadside attraction is both creepy and mesmerizing, leaving visitors in awe. Created and curated by a couple, Mr. Arm and Velda Von Minx, a visit to this residential artist home is by appointment only.
Tours of Trundle Manor run for about 45 minutes and are given by the owners.
There is no set cost to tour, only a suggested donation which can be $20 for a group or a donation of some bizarre item they can use in a display. Liquor is also an acceptable form of payment.
Every room will make your jaw drop in bewilderment!
Doll heads, taxidermy animals, and other items Mr. Arm and Velda Von Minx have collected throughout the years, are placed into wildly creative vignettes for visitors to enjoy!
A bear's head with dentures, a pipe, and a top hat is just one of the many imaginative scenes you will see.
It's almost like walking into a house owned by the Adams Family.
Meet Uncle Trundle, who seems to serve as a mascot of sorts.
This is a dressed up skeleton (note: not a real one) here to greet those who are brave or curious enough to visit.
Some costumes belonging to the Queen of the Manor herself, Velda Von Minx, are on display.
Velda created these costumes and viewing them just adds to the allure of the place.
Trundle Manor is proud to wear the Tourist Trap moniker and the website states that it is just that—a tourist trap.
But this is unlike any tourist trap any of us have ever been to!
Since tours are by appointment only, check out the Trundle Manor website for contact information here. You can also watch videos and listen to the Trundle Podcast, all available on the website.
Visiting Trundle Manor is like walking into a house of horrors with a whimsical flair. You won't stop talking about it after your visit!
