Tucked away on 65 acres in Northampton Township, Churchville Nature Center has been a natural oasis - and an ideal spot to learn more about the environment - since it opened in 1964.
A stop at the visitor center is the perfect way to start your adventure. It's brimming with fun - from interpretive exhibits to live animals. You can even watch the birds outside from the bird blind.
Interested in learning more about anything nature-related? Grab a book from one of the shelves; sink into a comfy chair, and have a read.
Spending time indoors is fun, but make sure you carve out time to explore outside, too. Wear comfy shoes, so you can wander along some or all of the two miles of trails. Parts of the trails are wheelchair accessible.
As you explore, you'll likely catch sight of a variety of wildlife - deer, turtles, and frogs. Visit the butterfly house seasonally, too. It's typically open from early July through late September.
Soak up the beauty of the nature preserve by sitting on a bench in one of the gardens, which are well worth exploring.

The nature center offers programs for all ages. Kiddos can sign up for summer camps while everyone can join in on such fun activities as bird walks.
Nature trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. However, the nature center welcomes visitors during certain days and hours; be sure to check its website before going for up-to-date hours.
