Now’s the perfect time to go exploring. (Well, anytime’s really a good time to explore PA, wouldn’t you say?) But, because Pennsylvania boasts so many hiking trails, choosing which one to conquer next can be a little intimidating. Good news: if you’re on the lookout for a scenic hike that will keep you shaded from the heat of the sun, this picturesque, shady trail will lead you along a flowing creek and to scenic overlooks with sweeping views.
Pack all of your hiking gear - and plenty of water, too - and travel to Allegheny National Forest, a natural wonder that spans more than half a million acres.
Minister Creek Trail can be done as a loop. But, if you want to keep hiking instead of making the loop, the trail connects to North Country National Scenic Trail. (Follow the blue diamonds.)
