Mount Hood is an Oregon icon, and its beauty is unparalleled. While we love to gaze upon it, it's just as amazing to hang out on this mountain. If you enjoy mountain biking, hiking, or skiing, Mount Hood is the place to be, and The Timberline Lodge is the perfect spot for dining and overnight stays.
The Timberline Lodge is one of the most beautiful lodges in the country. Situated on Mount Hood, this historic hideaway was built in the late 1930s, and it's home to seven restaurants.
After a long day of skiing or hiking, you'll want to head to the Ram's Head Bar.
It's a cozy spot on the lodge's second-floor balcony to snuggle in.
The balcony circles around the lodge's huge fireplace, and its large windows showcase some gorgeous views, like this vista of Mount Jefferson in the distance.
The Ram's Head Bar typically serves delicious food, but is currently open for drinks only.
Luckily, the talented bartenders here are ready to craft the perfect cocktail for you!
The Ram's Head Bar Bloody Mary is legendary. The recipe was created in 1969, and it's been hailed as one of the best in the state. It's made with Lewis & Clark vodka, crafted by Hood River Distillers.
The Moscow Mule is another favorite here. It includes Lewis & Clark vodka and Fentimans ginger beer. When you order this drink, you get to keep the beautiful copper mug!
You'll find a nice assortment of beers on tap here, too. Mt. Hood Brewing Co. favorites include Ice Axe IPA, Highland Meadow Blonde, Cloudcap Amber, and more.
Looking to warm up without the alcohol? The Snow-Cap Dream is a confection in a mug. It's creamy hot chocolate, covered in a huge mound of whipped cream, then drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrup and topped with English toffee.
What's your favorite drink on the menu at Ram's Head Bar at Timberline Lodge? Tell us in the comments! Make sure to visit the lodge's website for more details.
