Beginning in her teen years, she also worked as an actress, gaining notoriety as the mysterious “Log Lady” in the Twin Peaks TV show, which aired from 1990 to 1991, and the 1992 movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Some of her other acting projects include the following films: The Amputee, Trick or Treats, Femme Fatale, The Secret Life of Houses, Calvin Marshall, and Redwood Highway. She also appeared in the Oregon-based comedy TV series Portlandia, among many other television shows and movies.
