With Halloween season fully in swing, lovers of thrills and chills all across the state are visiting haunted houses and attractions to be scared out of their wits. You'll find plenty of options when it comes to Halloween horrors, but there's one place that is so scary that they'll make you sign a waiver before you go in. Check out House of Shadows:
Are you ready to be scared out of your wits? You'll be immersed in a world of horror when you visit House of Shadows, which is at a brand new location this year.
The attraction is located in Gresham; see the address at the bottom of this article.
This is Oregon's only full-contact haunted house, so be ready for a monster to come up behind you and grab you. It WILL happen, and likely more than once.
This terror experience isn't for the faint of heart. In fact, if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or have other health concerns, you might want to reconsider. It's not recommended for kids under the age of 13.
One of the main reasons this experience is so scary is the talented actors who work inside. They're hand-picked through auditions every year, and though these people have regular jobs and lives, the moment they step inside, they take on the horrific personalities of their characters.
Makeup artists and set designers complete the scene of terror. You'll walk through different rooms filled with new spine-tingling horrors; each is different, and each is absolutely shocking.
This year's theme is CARNEVIL, and if you have a fear of clowns, you're going to lose your mind in here. There's a reason they have a waiver - everything about House of Shadows is purposefully designed to scare you...almost to death.
House of Shadows is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from October 11th through the 27th, and Thursday, October 31st through Sunday, November 3rd. Get your tickets now!
Tickets range in price from $30 to $60, depending on whether you want to add on Fast Pass or VIP Admission.
Visit the House of Shadows website to get your tickets, and make sure to follow the attraction's Facebook page to see what's new there. Have you visited House of Shadows? Tell us and our readers about your experience in the comments!
Not all terrifying things involve actors and stage makeup - some horrors are real. Read our story about the Molalla Forest Killer, who kept Oregonians up at night in the 1980s.
