Oregon has no shortage of awesome college towns. However, in my personal opinion, there’s a truly special one that really takes the cake: Corvallis. Charming Corvallis, Oregon, home to the Oregon State University (OSU), aka the Beavers, hits every spot on the superb college town wish list. Corvallis boasts a vibrant downtown, an inviting, livable community, wonderful dining and shopping, stunning natural beauty, and tons of school spirit. In fact, be sure to visit the massive OSU Beaver Store.

So, next time you’re in the mood to tour an inviting college town, be sure to visit Corvallis.

You’ll find no shortage of delicious eateries in town. Try Elmer’s for breakfast or lunch. Other great lunch options include Local Boyz Hawaiian Cafe and Sky High Brewing and Pub. Or simply walk down any city center street and you’re likely to find another great place to dine.

There are plenty of other fun activities besides noshing, as well. There are lots of cultural, sporting, and academic events at OSU, Additionally, check out the seasonal Corvallis Farmers Market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays on First Street. For shopping, try Sibling Revelry, a delightful boutique that stocks clothing and accessories for men and women. Another great option is Clothes Tree, which showcases a great selection of women’s apparel and has been dressing Corvallis since 1962!
