It’s no fun being sick or injured, but at least there are many great hospitals in Oregon where you can rest assured that you’re getting the great care you need. We Oregonians are lucky to have nearly 70 hospitals keeping us safe and healthy. Here are the 7 best hospitals in Oregon, ranked by U.S. News & World Report.

Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford is the 7th best hospital in Oregon. Run by Asante, they have nationally recognized orthopedic services, heart and stroke care, cancer care, and diabetes care. They are considered one of the top 100 cardiovascular hospitals in the nation and one of the top 15 top health systems.

St. Charles is the 6th best hospital in Oregon. It's the largest hospital in central Oregon, has a level 2 trauma center, and is also the headquarters for the entire St. Charles Health System, which is a not-for-profit Oregon corporation.

Founded in 1896, this non-profit in Salem is the only hospital in the city, but luckily it’s a good one. It has won many awards like Breast Imaging Center of Excelence, the Beacon Awards for Clinical Care, and is one of the 50 top cardiovascular hospitals.

This not-for-profit general care hospital in Clackamas is #4 on the Best Hospitals In Oregon ranking. It’s also the only hospital in Clackamah County with a heart surgery facility.

Ranked as the 3rd best hospital in the state, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is a non-profit teaching hospital and is the biggest hospital in Oregon. The medical center has specialized institutions including Oregon Medical Laser Center, Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, Providence Multiple Sclerosis Center, and Providence Stroke Center.

Providence Portland Medical Center is located in NE Portland and is ranked the 2nd best hospital in the state. Specializing in cancer and cardiac care, it's a large full service hospital with 1,011 doctors.

Oregon Health and Science University is the #1 best hospital in Oregon. Based in Portland, it's a nationally ranked world-class teaching hospital. According to the OHSU website, its hospitals and clinics serve more than 250,000 patients every year with comprehensive and innovative healthcare.
