These 12 State Parks In Oklahoma Will Knock Your Socks Off
Oklahoma is home to 34 diverse state parks that are spread throughout the state. There are endless activities that you can do, so plan your getaway, get active and explore what Oklahoma has to offer.

This 200 acre park is found in northwest Oklahoma and features a 3/4 mile cave. This cave is made of alabaster, an uncommon gypsum, and is the largest gypsum cave in the world. Fee required.

With beautiful mountains surrounding this southeastern state park, it is one of Oklahoma's most popular areas.

Located in the panhandle, Black Mesa is near the borders of New Mexico and Colorado. Hike to the highest point in the state...4973 ft. above sea-level at Black Mesa Nature Preserve.

Made up of several smaller state parks around Grand Lake and near the Pensacola Dam.

This beautiful state park is 487 acres and is located in the Southwest region of the state...not to be confused with Great SALT Plains State Park in Northern OK.

You can find all the activities a state park has to offer here. Catch a jumbo size catfish at the lake and grill it at one of the picnic areas located in the park.

Named after the Sahara Desert due to its similarity, these sand dunes consist of over 1600 acres and are located in the northwest portion of the state.

Besides the gorgeous 77 ft. waterfall you will find, you can explore the scenery in this Ozark region park.

A favorite activity at this state park is rappelling down the red canyon walls. If you visit it in fall you will get a special treat with the color of the foliage.

Famous as a previous outlaw hideout for Jesse James and Belle Star, Robbers State Cave is a great family getaway for all outdoor activities.

At just 20 acres and offering a wide range of scenery, Talimena is sitting at the entrance to Talimena Scenic Drive, a 54 mile winding road through the mountains.

This unique state park consists of a saltwater lake, about half as salty as the ocean. The park allows for digging of selenite crystals.
