The Middle-Of-Nowhere General Store With Some Of The Best Burgers In Oklahoma

Meers Store & Restaurant in southern Oklahoma offers iconic burgers made from their own cattle, rustic charm, and a unique dining experience.

Tucked away in southern Oklahoma in Meers near the Wichita Mountains are some of the best hamburgers in Oklahoma. We stumbled upon this hidden gem, Meers Store & Restaurant, a little hole-in-the-wall that offers rustic charm and burgers made from their own herd of cattle just yards away from the restaurant. For over 40 years they’ve wowed visitors with their food and ice-cold Meers beer. In our opinion, there’s no place like it in Oklahoma, so you’ll want to make your way to the middle of nowhere and experience this iconic burger restaurant and one of the most memorable general stores in Oklahoma.

Meers Store & Restaurant is one of those places that doesn't look like much on the outside but it's a local legend for those that are "in the know." They are open Thursday - Sunday for lunch and dinner.

They claim to have the best burger in Oklahoma and once you indulge we think you'll agree. The Seismic Burger is their largest burger on the menu and it's truly massive.

All the meat at Meers comes from their own herd of Longhorns that are all grass-fed. They have several smaller burger options on the menu, so don't worry if you do not want to super-size your meal.

Rustic American is a good way to describe the atmosphere at Meers. The decor ranges from old license plates to a seismic machine and everything in between.

You'll find many other tasty items on the menu including BBQ, steaks, chicken fried steaks, and of course, fries and onion rings.

If you glance up on the wall you'll notice a list of many accolades and awards they have won over the years.

Meers is also known for its ice-cold Meers Gold Beer, brewed in Oklahoma. Plus, they have a heavenly peach cobbler with homemade ice cream...which might be one of my favorite desserts on the planet.
