The starting point of this road trip is going to be in Clinton at the iconic Route 66 Museum. This cool place is full of artifacts, memorabilia, and signs paying tribute to The Mother Road.
Next, head on over to the town of Weatherford and enjoy breakfast at the beloved Lucille's Roadhouse, located on Historic Route 66. It used to be a gas station in the 1940s but today it serves some of the best comfort food in the state and the inside vibe is all about Route 66.
Your next destination will be the charming town of Arcadia, about 85 miles away. Here, you'll want to pay a visit to Pops, an iconic Route 66 attraction that boasts the world’s largest pop bottle outside and over 700 flavors of soda pop. The inside is just as cool as the outside. The massive glass windows are lined with sleek shelves holding hundreds of glass soda bottles - all arranged by color.
After enjoying a pop, head down Route 66 where you will notice an unusual round, red barn as you drive through Arcadia. The barn stands 43 feet high, is 60 feet in diameter, and was built back in 1898. It was quite the talk of the town back then, and it's still a wonder to behold.
The town of Chandler is another charming Route 66 town that you'll enjoy driving through. Just be sure and make a stop at the Route 66 Interpretive Museum. Here, you can experience Route 66 in a unique and unusual way as you take a virtual car ride down the Mother Road.
One of the most recognizable iconic attractions on Route 66 can be found in Catoosa at The Blue Whale. Tourists from all over the world make their way to this attraction in Oklahoma. The park is open every day to visitors, so be sure and bring your camera and snap a pic with this beloved whale.

Medicine Park Summer Resort and Health Spa soon became a playground for outlaws, bootleggers, politicians, soldiers, and prominent folks in the area.

Unfortunately, in 1926, Thomas sold the resort park to a corporation after he was elected to the Senate. Shortly thereafter, the town declined due to wars and economic hardship. However, the town’s residents refused to allow their community to waste away and teamed up with the local government to revive the dying town. Today, with a population of less than 500 residents, Medicine Park is a thriving resort community filled with charm, friendly folks, and the most adorable cottages and stores you can imagine.
