Quartz Mountain Resort was handed back over to the Oklahoma State Park family in 2020 and they just unveiled the new Lodge, now under the management of the state park. The new name is Quartz Mountain State Park Lodge and it's been renovated to offer guests a premier experience. It's located in a remote area of southwestern Oklahoma on Lake Altus-Lugert and is everything you could dream of and more.
Check it out below:
Quartz Mountain State Park Lodge is located in the small town of Lone Wolf and sits on the shores of Lake Altus-Lugert. The area is known as a gateway to the Wichita Mountains and is one of the most beautiful areas in the state to enjoy the great outdoors.
Quartz Mountain State Park Lodge just had a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in June 2021.
The Lodge is not open for guests until mid-July so be sure to click the link at the bottom of the article to place your reservation before they fill up for the summer.
Guests can choose from queen or king-sized beds and mountainside or lakeside views. They even offer executive suites for an upgraded experience.
The Lodge is home to a very comfortable restaurant and bar. From what we have gathered on social media the name of the restaurant is Foggy Bottom Kitchens, the same company that manages the restaurant at Roman Nose State Park.
One of the best things about this Lodge is the location. There is so much outdoor recreation that you could stay busy all week doing a myriad of excursions.
The Wichita Mountains are a sight to behold. There are miles and miles of hiking trails and breathtaking views. If you're not up for an adventure, you can always sit back and relax at the newly renovated Lodge that is sure to please.
