Located in the prairies of northeastern Oklahoma near Pawhuska is Lake Bluestem…home of Bluestem Falls. This waterfall is created by the Bluestem Lake Spillway as the water cascades over rocks, creating beautiful flowing falls. It’s a picture-perfect spot hiding away that you’ll want to check out.

You'd never guess there's a picturesque waterfall tucked away at Lake Bluestem. At first glance, it looks just like all our other lakes in the Sooner State.

To find Bluestem Falls, take Kihekah Avenue north from the center of Pawhuska until you reach CR4070. Turn left on CR4070 and continue over three miles until you come to a fork in the road. Take the left road of the fork and drive until you reach the spillway.
