Friends Trail in Beavers Bend State Park will open to the public on October 28 and you won't want to miss a day outside on this beautiful trail.
Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, as the river side of the trail is narrow and rocky. If you hike the trail during the winter, the views are unobstructed of the surrounding mountains and lake below.
It is recommended that you allow at least 1.5 hours to enjoy the hike. Even though it's only a 1.5-mile hike, the rugged terrain takes a little longer to navigate.
If you travel along Highway 259A inside the park, you’ll discover a hidden restaurant tucked away in the tall trees overlooking Mountain Fork River. It has one of the most exquisite settings and will take your breath away. Click here to read about Beavers Bend Restaurant – located on the banks of Mountain Fork River.
