After these last few weeks of historically cold weather in Oklahoma, you may be wondering what’s in store for us this upcoming spring in the Sooner State. Unfortunately, it looks like this crazy weather pattern is going to bring a more active storm season this year. We hope you enjoyed our uneventful tornado season last year because the prediction doesn’t look to be the same this year. If you've lived in Oklahoma very long, then you know our weather is no joke. So when you hear scientists predict that this year is going to be a very active tornado season, you pay attention.

In 2019 we had a record-setting number of tornadoes in the state but 2020 was a different story. It was a more mild tornado season and I think we can all agree, it was a much-needed break after 2019.

Y'all, did you hear that?! That's a pretty bold prediction. I don't know about you, but I sure could use a break from all this extreme weather that causes damage and loss of life.

Oh, and one other prediction from scientists - Kansas or Oklahoma will have an EF5 this year. I'd say this is a good year to be on alert and prepared.
