One of the greatest culinary inventions to come out of Ohio is Skyline Chili. If you’ve never heard of this delightful concoction, it’s essentially meat-based chili served atop spaghetti. Some love it, while others are baffled by it. Either way, the dish is legendary, and it all began in Cincinnati. In fact, you can still visit one of the original locations of this local restaurant chain today. Here’s more on the iconic story of Skyline Chili in Ohio.
Welcome to Skyline Chili! This Ohio institution was started in 1949 when a man by the name of Nicholas Lambrinides decided to share some of his mother's delicious Greek recipes.
Skyline Chili is famous for the namesake dish, which is a plate of spaghetti piled high with a top-secret chili recipe covered in freshly-shredded cheddar cheese.
Of course, if you're not in the mood for a plate of Skyline Chili or a Coney Dog, you can opt for something lighter. The kitchen offers an array of delicious salads to choose from.
But, if you've never tried this Ohio-famous dish, Skyline Chili really is the best place to do so!
