However, if you’re looking for one of the most photographable destinations in Ohio’s Amish Country, you’ll want to look to a quaint community called Greenwich that’s just north of Ashland, Ohio. Here, one massive horse and buggy statue stands waiting as the perfect backdrop for holiday cards, profile pictures, or senior photos. This park was once a farm owned by Hazel and Carl Sprinkle. While it was once home to famed milk cows like Suzanna King Phoebe, it's now a marshy property that's downright stunning. The park district added more than 4,000 new trees and shrubs to help the former farm return to a more natural state, though 20 acres of the park continue to be farmed to this day.

This 785-acre park is part of the Lorain County Metro Parks system, and it's absolutely coveted by horse riders for its scenic trails. Its 5.2-mile loop trail is rated as "extremely primitive," so make sure you bring hiking boots if this park is on your local bucket list.

While you’re in the area, considering making a road trip just a bit further south to visit Loudonville. It’s one of my favorite places to go canoeing in Northeast Ohio!
