At a mere four square miles in size, Olmsted Falls is a pretty petite community near Cleveland. It is a southwestern suburb of the Greater Cleveland area, yet it feels worlds away. Why? Well, to be quite frank, its landscape is notably different than anything else in the area. With an endlessly vibrant shopping district and oodles of dining options, it’s no wonder many consider this to be the best suburb near Cleveland. Check it out:
Olmsted Falls is a community with all sorts of history.
This community undoubtedly has a story to tell. Olmsted Falls was originally part of New France, though it would go on to become part of the Connecticut Western Reserve in 1795. To this day, Olmsted Falls maintains an impressive dining scene.
The eateries here aren't your standard, run-of-the-mill mom and pop shops. Dining in Olmsted Falls is something special. Just take a look at Moosehead Hoof & Ladder, a quirky destination housed in a former firehouse.

One of the most coveted outdoor landscapes in Olmsted Falls is that of David Fortier River Park.
David Fortier River Park is a pretty piece of land that includes its own modest waterfall. It's an ideal hike for those with small children or anyone looking for a short and sweet stroll.
You'll also spot Charles A. Harding Memorial Covered Bridge in Fortier Park, and its beauty is straight out of a watercolor painting.
This gorgeous little covered bridge is one of the most iconic outside of Ashtabula County. Many have used this as a backdrop for photos, and a film crew or two has set up here over the years.
All in all, Olmsted Falls is a quirky and cool community that's well worth visiting.
There is so much to love about this awesome little community! With only 9,000 residents, it maintains a historic small-town feel while keeping up with the ever-evolving nature of Greater Cleveland.
