If you want to be absolutely sure that this does not happen to you, head to this hidden gem on the west side of Cincinnati for epic portions and incredible food. Sunnyside Grill is located at the corner of Wesselman and Harrison and you have to be careful not to drive by this little diner, because what's inside is anything but little.
Located on a fairly busy stretch of Harrison Avenue in Cleves, Sunnyside Grill is the hidden gem you'll regret not noticing as you drive past.
The exterior somewhat blends in with the other random buildings and houses on the street, so keep an eye out for the sign and the turn onto Wesselman to enter the parking lot of this epic eatery.
Known as a family-owned "greasy spoon," you can get a little bit of everything at Sunnyside Grill, but nothing about the food is little.
Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner (on select days), Sunnyside is a popular spot for residents in the area and is definitely worth a drive no matter where you are in Cincinnati.
The interior of Sunnyside Grill feels like a mixture of a cafeteria and a classic diner.
It's not fancy, but it's comfortable and there's plenty of Cincinnati pride and sports logos scattered on the walls.
Once you've taken a seat, you'll need to take a few minutes to look over the large menu.

If you're going for breakfast, you have to try the famous Smelvin.
Don't let the weird name deter you! This smothered dish is made up of all of your favorite breakfast meats, eggs, and home fries covered in melted cheese. You can order a small or large, but unless you are a world champion eater, you may want to stick with the small. There are also variations with biscuits and gravy, as well as a veggie option.
Sunnyside Grill is best known for their epic burgers, which are fresh, never frozen, and piled high no matter which one you choose.
There are a ton of options to choose from, or you can create your own. The Southwest Burger (shown above) is basically two meals (or more) in one.

They also offer wraps, soups, salads, and Cincinnati-style chili that some argue is one of the best in the city.
Sunnyside Grill is open Tuesday - Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday - Monday from 8 am to 3 pm.
