The Cincinnati Zoo In Ohio Is Offering Free Livestreams Of Elephants, Wallabies, And More

Life looks a little (or a lot) different for everyone right now. As we continue to practice social distancing, it can be challenging to stay stimulated and engaged with the world outside our homes. Fortunately, technically is helping us. Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is offering up-close, daily live streams of their animals. It’s perfect for families or animal enthusiasts that are seeking more than a Netflix binge right now.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. This time of year, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is usually bustling with activity as families flock to the zoo for some sunshine and fun with the animals.

Rather than visiting the animals yourself, the Cincinnati Zoo is bringing them to you this spring via Facebook Live.

To attend a virtual Home Safari tour, simply go to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden Facebook page and tune into the page's livestream at 3 p.m. each day.

Who knows, you might just spot your favorite animal and get to observe an up-close virtual stream of feeding time!
From playful cats to snacking hippos, you'll get to virtually experience a little bit of everything when it comes to the daily life of zoo animals.

If you aren't able to watch the Home Safari tours live at the scheduled time, that's ok. All Home Safaris and virtual zoo visits are posted on the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden's website. You can even download activities and take quizzes to enhance your viewing experience! It's both fun and educational.
As an added bonus, more than 100,000 tulips grace the grounds of Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens during the month of April.

This year, the zoo is dedicated to sharing their beautiful blooms via virtual tours and special deliveries to area hospitals and nursing homes.
