Here in Ohio, we're lucky to have some pretty amazing and unique Christmas light displays. (Be sure to check out this Christmas Cave.) There's one small town park that goes all out for the season in the southern reaches of the state that you need to see. Light balls hang from the trees, the gazebos are decked out and there's a magical Christmas tree trail you'll want to stroll down. In fact, this route may be the very finest Christmas tree trail in Ohio. Gallipolis in Lights in Ohio is a true winter wonderland during the holiday season. Take a look:

Gallipolis in Lights kicks off the day before Thanksgiving and continues until the new year arrives. It's a truly spectacular light display.

There is no admission fee and you can stroll this lovely park anytime after dark throughout the holiday season.

Local businesses sponsor and decorate the trees that line the sidewalks. With each year, new ones are added.

The official park lighting will take place on Wednesday, November 27 this year. The entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m., featuring the Gallipolis Twirling Angels and live Christmas music.

The official lighting of the park will start at 7 p.m. and there's even a holiday fireworks display to kick off the season.
