Where can I find the best cheese in Ohio?

It is difficult to determine where you can find the best cheese in Ohio. There are several Ohio cheese shops and even restaurants that cheese lovers will appreciate. If you’re looking for Swiss cheese, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Ohio Amish Country, particularly the town of Sugarcreek. If you enjoy a hearty helping of the classic macaroni and cheese dish, you’ll definitely want to visit The Mac Shack in Cincinnati and Mad Mac’s in Lakewood. Both restaurants serve multiple different kinds of macaroni and cheese dishes, each featuring different types and combinations of cheeses.

Which cheese shops in Ohio have the biggest selection of cheese?

One of the largest cheese shops in Ohio is Cheese Haven in Port Clinton. There are more than 100 types of cheeses to choose from at all times, as well as local wines, smoked meats and other tasty treats. (The cheese spreads at Cheese Haven are particularly delicious.) Another massive market with a wide selection of cheese that’s worth exploring on a rainy day is the World of Cheese at Jungle Jim’s International Market in Cincinnati. (Note: There is also a Jungle Jim’s location in Fairfield.) Walnut Creek Cheese in Walnut Creek is another popular place to shop for local cheese in Ohio, as well as Grandpa’s Cheesebarn in Ashland. These stops feature almost any kind of cheese you might be looking for.

Are there any shops that make homemade cheese in Ohio?

Yes, there are several shops in Ohio that sell homemade cheese. Most cheese shops in Ohio feature in-house cheeses that were either made on site or close by. In fact, there are several places where you can observe how homemade cheese in Ohio is made, such as Heini’s Cheese Chalet in Millersburg.
