Embrace the autumn season this year before it’s gone—because we all know it passes by too quickly. Here’s why you’ll want to take this 110-mile road trip to experience some of the best fall foliage and wineries in Ohio:

This family-owned and operated winery is picture perfect in the fall time. With a history that dates back to 1929 and Slovenia roots, this vineyard is a true hidden gem in Ohio. Kick off your trip with some exceptional wines and a little history surrounded by stunning fall color.

2. Holden Arboretum Canopy Walk and Emergent Tower (Kirtland)
Get out and stretch your legs at one of the most unique places in the state for fall foliage viewing. The Judith and Maynard H. Murch Canopy Walk at Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio features a 500 ft. long elevated walkway suspended 65 ft. above the forest floor. It gives visitors a truly unique perspective of the forest and the animals that live among the trees. And as an added bonus, there’s an observation tower on site that takes you up even further up—so much further that you end up above the trees.
Set in the heart of the Chagrin Valley, this Napa-inspired winery is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, sip some wine and enjoy some beautiful fall foliage. The patio is gorgeous, and with both indoor and outdoor fireplaces, you'll stay warm as you indulge in your favorite variety of wine.
Ohio's very own national park is absolutely stunning in the fall time. Drive through the park or stop and hike a trail or two. We recommend parking your car at the Blue Hen Falls trailhead and taking a short 0.5-mile trek to see the falls. The 15-foot waterfall is beautiful any time of year, but it's best viewed in the fall months. The leaves turn a deep yellow-orange that frame the waterfall, making a beautiful photo op. (Note: The trek is a somewhat steep hike that's rated as moderate.)
In addition to beautiful Tuscany-style villas available for overnight stays and high quality, locally produced wines, this vineyard features an unbelievably delicious Italian restaurant that's open for both lunch and dinner.
