Fall is the most magical time of the year in Ohio.
There’s no better way to embrace the season than to board a scenic railway and take in the beauty of Ohio’s fall foliage. From fall color tours to pumpkin patch train rides, here are 7 ridiculously charming train rides you’ll want to take in Ohio this fall. At the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation in Findlay, Ohio, there’s a Pumpkin Train the whole family will enjoy. The Pumpkin Train leads to the pumpkin patch, where you can select, pick up and load your pumpkin onto the train. This year, the Pumpkin Train will run from September 22 - October 21, every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

Trains depart 6 days a week in October, giving you the chance to take in Ohio's fall foliage within its very own national park. (Please note: Train rides are not offered on Mondays.) You can also enjoy cocktails on the rails, brunch or a murder mystery dinner via the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and its special events. Operating train rides through the Hocking River Valley between East Logan and Nelsonville, this scenic railway features several holiday and seasonal events as well. Trains also operate every Saturday and Sunday between Memorial Day and the last weekend of October. For more information click here.
