Google Maps offers two routes between the winery and the waterfall, the shorter of which spans just under 41 miles with an estimated drive time of around 55 minutes. If you prefer taking the longer route, you’ll travel 53 miles in a little over an hour. The estimated drive time for both routes doesn’t include traffic, so consider that when making your decision.

Breitenbach Winery makes 40 different types of wine, which you can sample between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Tasting is in the gift shop, where you can also stock up on souvenirs from your day.

Spanning more than 1,100 acres, Mohican State Park boasts numerous hiking trails, including the two-mile Lyons Falls Trail. The trail is rated between moderate and difficult, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, so be prepared for a bit of a challenge.
The trail meanders through wooded areas, along Clear Fork Gorge, and leads to two Lyons Falls – Big and Little. Big Lyons Falls, the first waterfall you’ll come to, drops a spectacular 80 feet, and you can even walk behind it.
Little Lyons Falls is another natural wonder, albeit quite a bit smaller than its larger namesake, on the loop trail. The waterfall tumbles down 25 feet, and you can view it from above.
