When you’re craving a taste of the Old World but you don’t have the time or money to hop on a plane, just jump in the car and head to Dayton instead. Amber Rose Restaurant serves up delicious cuisine made from authentic recipes from Germany, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia, and Italy.
Welcome to Amber Rose Restaurant! This charming place is located in a historic building built by Polish immigrant Sigmund Ksiezopolski in 1910.
The building is a true gem, with its stained glass windows and rustic charm, and the friendly folks here will make you feel right at home. In fact, the restaurant's motto is "Come as a stranger, leave as a friend!"
Amber Rose is well-known for its delicious pierogi, so you'll want to start with an order of those for an appetizer. You can share them with a friend, but after just one bite you'll be tempted to keep them all to yourself.
The traditional Reuben is another favorite here. Grilled up on rye bread, it's stuffed full of savory, house-cooked corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, with plenty of Thousand Island dressing.
For a satisfying dinner, sink your teeth in the Hunter Schnitzel, served up alongside spaetzl and potato cakes. It's just one of many authentic Eastern European dishes on the menu.
The three sausage sample gives you an Eastern European tour on a plate. It includes knockwurst, bratwurst, and Lithuanian sausages, and it's served with mashed potatoes, triple mustard sauce, and homemade sauerkraut.
Visit Amber Rose Restaurant Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
