The trail is considered very simple at just 2 miles out-and-back with next to no elevation gain. The ease of the trail makes it a great outing for families with young kids, especially since there's so much to see.
As you follow the trail, you'll delve deep into the redwoods and it truly feels like you're being engulfed by the wilderness. These are the types of sights you'd expect to see in a movie or something, not real life!
Massive coastal redwoods tower over you as you meander down the path. The hike may be short but you could end up spending hours just enjoying the views that the forest has to offer. It won't be long until the sound of rushing water lets you know that the waterfall is nearby.
As you approach the falls you'll come across a lovely staircase that winds through the forest and down to the waterfall.
The staircase will lead you down to a viewing platform that provides an exceptional view of the thing you've been waiting for all along—Sempervirens Falls.
