What’s better than brunch? A theme brunch, of course! Take your favorite meal up a notch by going to this British-themed brunch restaurant in San Francisco’s Noe Valley neighborhood. Lovejoy’s Tea Room is such a cute place and a very memorable experience.
You have to get the “Bottomless Pot o’ Tea” to share.
You can order from more than 20 varieties of tea, including traditional teas, fruit flavored and decaf. The tea pairs well with their classic British foods, like scones with preserves and Devon cream, or crumpets with lemon curd.
For heartier appetites, Lovejoy’s also serves things like sausage rolls, shepherd's pie, and quiche. These items do not include tea, so you’ll have to order that separately.
Not a tea drinker? They also serve organic fair-trade coffee made in a French press– those who love rich coffee know that this is a great way to brew a good cup! You can also drink soda, fizzy water, or hot chocolate.
You’ll not only enjoy the tea and food, but you’ll get a kick out of the decor, too.
Each table is reserved with a sign that says, "Reserved for Royalty". It’s the little touches like this that make Lovejoy’s such a memorable experience.
With so much British decor, Lovejoy’s is a great place to take photos. Take a look at the British phone booth and the vintage tea sets— so cute!
If you love the tea experience, you can visit Lovejoy’s Attic, located across the street from the restaurant. The shop sells loose leaf teas and has a large selection of vintage tea sets, hats, and aprons, so you can re-create the tea party experience at home.
Some guests like to wear British-style fascinators— the fun, vintage hats that royals wear to events. Lovejoy’s can be reserved for parties. It’s a great place to hold birthday parties, bachelorette brunches, and other special events.
Lovejoy’s even gives guests the option to order party favors like fans, tea party-inspired cookie cutters, and porcelain tea holders. What a nice touch!
Reservations are recommended. Lovejoy’s is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
They have gluten-free and vegan options available for anyone in your party with dietary restrictions. Gluten free options are an additional charge.
Brunch has become a big thing over the past decade. It’s a great way to relax with friends on a weekend, have a good meal and drinks, and still be in bed at a reasonable time. Also, if you’re not familiar with San Francisco, the Noe Valley neighborhood is a great place to shop and explore. Turn your brunch trip into an entire day affair!
