San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge may be the most famous of Northern California’s bridges, but did you know it has a younger sibling that’s worth checking out? Known as the Guy West Bridge, this massive suspension bridge was designed specifically to resemble the Golden Gate in both form and structure. It may not be as large, but it was considered the longest pedestrian bridge in the U.S. when it was initially unveiled. Located near Sacramento, it’s definitely worth crossing for yourself!
