The 2019 French Fry Festival In North Dakota Serves Literal Tons Of Fries

Every year, North Dakota hosts the world’s largest, record-breaking french fry feed and festival in Grand Forks. This massive event has literal tons of french fries for free along with fun activities, tons of other events, and lots to see and do. It’ll be the perfect end to your summer, and you definitely don’t want to miss it this year.

Every year, J.R. Simplot hosts the world's largest french fry feed in Grand Forks, North Dakota during Potato Bowl USA. They wheel in a massive machine that produces fresh french fries by the ton - and they're free for the taking!

Although this event lasts for an entire week, if you're most interested in the french fries, you'll want to make sure you go on September 12th, 2019. They hold the record for having served over 8,000 pounds of french fries previous years, and they're always trying to beat it again.

The feed will begin at 4:00 PM on that Thursday and you'll be able to get free french fries - and condiments - as well as enjoy in all the potato-related festivities. There is even a baked potato bar to indulge in.

French fry eating contests and potato picking contests will be taking place for people of all ages.

Huge inflatables and fun activities for kids in the Thomsen Homes Kid Zone, as well.

Have a blast with potato sack races and enjoy some time outdoors wandering through the vendor stands that will be set up during this time.

At dusk, the french fry feed finishes off with a spectacular fireworks show. What more could you want in an awesome summer event?

Along with the french fry feed and fireworks on Thursday, the event also has a parade, 1K and 2K races, games, live music, and of course the Potato Bowl football game itself during the other days of the event. It runs from Tuesday, September 10th to Saturday, September 14th, 2019.
