Since 2012, Grub Brothers Eatery & Little Brown Jug, has been celebrating life’s large and tiny moments with food so delicious, you’ll want to order one of everything on the extensive menu. Located in the heart of the downtown Washington Historic District, this charming, local restaurant is loved for its twist on Cajun and Southern cuisine and its southern hospitality. The choices are endless, with 13 carefully-crafted side dishes alone — from okra fritters and devilish eggs to grub chips — your entree will provoke a happy dance when served. And a lot of effort went into the clever names of the cuisine, such as Possum in the Trash, Boocoo Fries, and Voodoo Shrimp. Or in this case, top the salad with seared ahi tuna, bacon, cucumbers, tomato, and gorgonzola crumbles.

Cajun spicy fish tacos will make your mouth water, with slender slices of crunchy purple cabbage and fresh, housemade, salsa.

And the Cold Empty Plate is everything but, stock-piled with pimento cheese; devilish eggs; and your choice of chicken, pasta, or potato salad; with the sweet, crunchy touches of baby romaine lettuce cups and homemade crackers.

Onto something more substantial: Meet the barroom queen, aka, The Honkey Tonk, built with a generous Angus beef patty, American cheese, pulled pork, lettuce, tomato, crunchy onion straws, and drizzled with Grub-BQ sauce.

Sometimes the simple things are the best, such as this yummy grilled pimento cheese sandwich, served on toasted, buttered bread.

Or have a sandwich without bread on the Grub B-Q platter, which is slow-roasted pulled pork, finished with a smoky, sweet heat sauce.

And nothing says comfort more than this cheesy, delightfully baked spaghetti dinner special, heated to perfection with plenty of melted mozzarella and spicy pepperoni.

But wait, what about the traditional, heart-warming platter of finger-lickin' fried chicken on a Sunday afternoon?
