This impressive rest stop in North Carolina offers beautiful landscaped gardens, a wooded walking trail, and a Visitor Center. Located near Mile Marker 58 in Sea Grove, Interstate 73/74 Visitor Center Northbound in Randolph County opened in 2010, offering travelers a nice place to rest ever since.

Coming home from Myrtle Beach after Christmas, I pulled off for a break at this impressive rest stop in North Carolina.

It offers the usual restrooms and water fountains, but the Northbound Visitor Center features lovely landscaped grounds with at least one hundred trees.

And while there is plenty of room around the perimeter, we like the wooded walking trail and so will your dog.

Even though you're right off the highway, it makes you feel like you're in a forest.

It brought back childhood memories when mom packed a cooler full of sandwiches, cookies, and Kool-Aid.
I was there in the winter, but as you can see, the beautiful water fountain is more engaging wrapped in colorful flowers.

Additionally, there are more than 60 displays from the surrounding Seagrove area pottery shops.
