When it comes to conventional places to have a meal, the following restaurant does not apply. That's because this eatery, now in its 27th year, is downright extraordinary even though it may be one of the quirkiest places you'll ever eat. Take a look.

Dos Taquitos in North Raleigh is anything but traditional. From the decor, which is a raucous blend of 'day of the dead' and a twinge of gypsy, is lively, colorful - and most of all, entertaining.

If by the time you've parked your car, you still haven't gained a real sense of just how different (in a good way) Dos Taquitos on Glenwood Ave. is, then you'll surely be quite certain when you step in the door. The waiting area is adorned with, well... a little of everything, including a big, bright red old-time hair salon drying chair.

Venture a little farther into the place and you're greeted with even more quirky, yet fun, decor. But the decor isn't all that'll catch your attention.

The food at Dos Taquitos is completely in harmony with the decor. It's gorgeous, delicious and demands to be noticed.

The menu contains some of your faves. If you absolutely won't budge and try something new, you can find burritos and tacos, but then you'd be missing out on the daily specials...

and the other regular menu items dished up to perfection every day at Dos Taquitos. We love how dips and small side dishes come in a taco shell bowl.

Speaking of more things you'll absolutely adore... sit in the right spot and a little surprise could be on the way for you very soon...

They use a little train to bring small items and, at the end of your meal, your check! (Sooooo cute.)
