We’re officially less than a week away from Christmas! If you’re off next week, it will be prime time for last-minute shopping, attending Christmas parties, and getting a glance at all of the beautifully decorated houses in your area. If you’re wondering where to go, here are some truly phenomenal houses that have the best decorations in the Tar Heel state!

1. Biltmore Estate
If you want to ring in the season like royalty, visit the Biltmore Estate. The decorations are stunning. You'll find 56 lavishly decorated Christmas trees inside and over 60 adorning the gardens and exterior. It's such a lovely sight!
2. Windsor Christmas Lights
These brothers take Christmas seriously. So seriously, they have the largest private display in the nation with over 455,000 lights used. People all over the Eastern side of the state flock to the small town of Windsor to marvel in the Christmas Wonderland.

This family-run Christmas display is nothing short of spectacular! You'll be mesmerized by the 120,000 lights, 10 inflatables, and 10,000 animated lights. A must-stop for those near Clayton!
4. Meadow Lights, Benson
Meadow Lights is so much more than a simple 'house display.' This family owned and operated light show has been in business for 40 years! Meadow Lights offers The Old Country Store, where you can purchase drinks and old-fashioned candy. There's also a train, carousel, and of course Santa for the kiddos!

Pilot Mountain Christmas is an impressive and spectacular family-run light show. Park your car and walk to view over 750,000 lights. You'll venture through Santa's Enchanted Forest, watch animated displays and even an animated Christmas tree!
6. Hillside Holiday Hunger Drive, Hillside Ave. Charlotte
It's not just one house but a whole street that gets in on the Christmas fun! But the beautiful display goes to a great cause, to help feed the hungry! After you drive through the majestic display you can donate food to Loaves & Fishes.
7. Nikita's Christmas Wonderland, Indian Trail
Nikita's Christmas Wonderland is that one house on the block that simply makes everyone's jaw drop! The impressive display features 100,143 lights!
8. Christmas Lights at Station Drive, Morrisville
This synchronized light show is a such a treat for the whole family. While you're driving through the neighborhoods to view the lights...this one is a must-stop! You can tune in to 92.9FM to hear the Christmas music the light show is choreographed to.

10. Huntersville Christmas Lights
Huntersville Christmas lights are some of the most impressive in the area. You can tune in your car radio to 89.3FM to hear delightful Christmas tunes choreographed in unison with the spectacular light show.
