Camping in the Adirondack Mountains is one of the best ways to spend a long weekend upstate, and one of our favorite places to explore is Saranac Lake. There are several great campgrounds in the area, each with their own unique set of recreational options, including fishing, hiking, and kayaking. You can even snag a cabin for the weekend!

It’s also worth heading into Saranac Lake for the day, so be sure to check out this charming Adirondack town for at least a few hours while you’re in the area. Grab coffee at Blue Moon Cafe in the middle of town, or head south to Lake Flower and drop by Blue Line Brewery Pizza and Pub.
