With More Than 50 Years Of Business, You Can’t Go Wrong With A Tasty Visit To PeNGUIN Ice Cream & Snack Bar In New York
In a world where restaurants come and go like clockwork, it takes a lot for an eatery to become a staple of the community that lasts for decade after decade. One such shop is the little PeNGUIN Ice Cream & Snack Bar in Masonville. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but this tiny little shack is home to so many tasty treats! The soft-serve ice cream here is delicious and it’s so obvious that everyone involved takes so much pride in serving their community.
PeNGUIN originally opened in the early 1960s in Sidney, New York. Just a few years later, the owners had to sell when a highway construction was planned on top of the original site. The new shop was opened up in Masonville.
They only use real ingredients and have over 50 flavors to choose from. There's no artificial flavoring at all, and they also have lactose-free and sugar-free options.
PeNGUIN's kitchen also has a limited menu of snacks, like fries, hamburgers, and hot dogs, though it's worth noting that they do stop selling food a few hours before they close.
Those toppings look amazing! PeNGUIN's got great splits and milkshakes as well. You can mix and match different flavors and toppings, and even bring home mystery pints when they're available.
For more information about this charming old-fashioned ice cream stand, check out their website or Facebook. They’re open seasonally through Labor Day, so head on over there!
