Do you like candy? If so, you’re going to love Samuel’s Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck. This place may be small, but it’s big on candy and adventure. Step right in and check it out. This fairytale candy store in New York is a very special place to appease your sweet tooth!

Samuel's Sweet Shop opened in 1994. The original owner was Ira Gutner. He named his store after his late uncle, Sam, who always gave him candy when he was a child.

Ira passed away suddenly in 2004 and the future of Samuel's Sweet Shop was uncertain, but three local families bought it and kept it going.

It's a good thing this place survived, because it's pretty amazing. This case is full of homemade sweets and treats.

This place may be small, but the walls are lined with floor-to-ceiling shelves, and those shelves are full of candy.

In fact, there's candy everywhere you look.

If you don't feel like candy, then you can try one of the other sweets offered here, like cookies, or cupcakes, or muffins, or brownies. Wow!

Of course, Samuel's Sweet Shop also sells hot and cold beverages to wash it all down.
