Step Through A Cocoa-Cola Vending Machine To Enter Loulou, New York’s Newest Speakeasy
No matter which area of New York State you’re exploring, you can pleasantly find unique little restaurants and entryways hiding in plain sight all around you. By now, you’ve most likely heard about at least one of the Empire State’s chic speakeasies that have entire storefronts disguised as other businesses, but could you have ever imagined yourself having to step through a vintage Cocoa-Cola vending machine to enter an establishment? Taking you on a whimsical adventure, it’s time to discover how to make your way inside one of New York’s newest attractions — Loulou.
In the heart of Chelsea, right on the corner of 19th Street and 8th Avenue is a vintage Cocoa-Cola vending machine that's the key to entering New York's newest speakeasy and restaurant Loulou.
Starting your dining experience off on the most whimsical foot, after stepping through the vintage vending machine you'll find yourself inside of a stunning French bistro.
Named after the owner's rescue dog Loulou, the restaurant's main dining room is spacious — made up of both booths and tables that are able to seat up to 70 guests.
Bringing a new and delicious aroma to the neighborhood, on the menu you'll find mouthwatering dishes like their Seared Scallops with uni butter and caviar, Nicoise Salad with seared tuna, shaved egg, kalamata olive, haricot verts, potato, and anchovy...
...Whole Branzino, Baked Camembert, Grilled Octopus, Steak Frites, and other options that you'll be excited to try!
If you've already eaten dinner or simply find yourself thirsty, you can head underground to Loulou's darling speakeasy.
With an extensive cocktail list at their full bar that will be able to quench anyone's thirst, Loulou's speakeasy has already become the talk of the town with their Mexican Stilettos — their adorable cocktail that comes in a bird-shaped glass!
A restaurant and speakeasy named after a friendly rescue dog (who's now the mascot of Loulou, donning a top hat and all) that's all tucked away behind a vintage Coca-Cola vending machine? What more could you ask for?
