The Tiny Shop Near Buffalo That Serves Homemade Ice Cream To Die For
According to our calendars, it’s almost the official start of spring. Believe it or not – and ready or not (trust us, we’re ready) – warmer weather is on the way! Let’s celebrate with a round of ice cream cones from one of the best shops near Buffalo.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Even if our weather doesn't want to cooperate, Charlap's main location in Boston is open now! It's never too cold outside to enjoy a delicious ice cream cone.

Charlap's has been family-owned and operated for over 50 years – which is quite a feat! Almost as impressive as their history is the decor on the interior of the parlor in Boston: perfectly decked out as a 50's-style diner!

Or, for the sake of saving your teeth, savor the flavor and take a lick. However you choose to eat it, Nick Charlap's ice cream is the best of the best!

The hard ice cream menu at Charlap's is constantly evolving to feature new flavors, but not to worry! They always keep the classics on hand.

I'll take a double scoop of anything, please!

Along with specialty flavors of hard ice cream, Charlap's also has handmade ice cream sandwiches (perfect to freeze and keep on hand for when those late night ice cream cravings kick in)!

You can't have an ice cream shop without the traditional soft serve. Extra rainbow sprinkles, please!

Banana splits are a classic favorite, and the sundaes at Charlap's are big enough to split between at least two people.

The piece de resistance: homemade ice cream cakes, which taste twice as good as they look.
Okay, now that they’re officially open for the season, who’s taking a trip to Charlap’s this week? Have you been to this ice cream parlor at any of their five WNY locations? What’s your go-to ice cream order?
