9 Epic Outdoorsy Things In Buffalo Anyone Can Do
Want to get outside but not sure what to do? You’ve come to the right place! Buffalo is the best in the summertime (we’re not biased or anything), and there are plenty of activities suitable for any skill level in the great outdoors. Here are our top nine:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Meet with other Buffalonians to explore the city by bicycle! Slow Roll Buffalo is family-friendly and open to riders of basically any age level. If you can ride a bike, you can join in the fun!

Get up close and personal with nature at Tifft Nature Preserve, located at 1200 Fuhrmann Boulevard. The preserve has 264 acres to explore with five miles of easily walkable trails through the marsh and woods.

Paddle boat or paddle bike your way through the water at Canalside. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city while you experience Lake Erie at your own speed!

Sunbathe, picnic, or take a stroll at Wilkeson Pointe Park, located at 225 Fuhrmann Boulevard. There is plenty of parking and seating and if you time it right, you might even be able to join in on a free fitness class! Pro tip: this park is especially beautiful at sunset.

Rent a rowboat from Hoyt Lake Rowboats and enjoy a relaxing (and romantic!) afternoon on the water. The views of Delaware Park are stunning and people-watching on the shores isn't too shabby, either!

Pack a picnic lunch or your yoga mat and prepare for a blissful afternoon at the Japanese Garden. You'll feel like you're in another land (Japan, to be exact) when you're surrounded by the natural beauty at this park. Find it at 1 Museum Court.

Want to play a game of pickup soccer or bring your beach towel to catch some rays? Head to 444 Forest Avenue and take advantage of the green space at the Richardson Olmsted Complex!

If a visit to Niagara Falls isn't already at the top of your must-do list this summer, add it now. While it may seem touristy and cliche, there is nothing like getting a personal view of the power of the falls!
