What are some things I should know before visiting Three Rivers Petroglyph Site?

Three Rivers Petroglyph Site is an incredible historic site that will fascinate individuals of all ages. But, to ensure you make the most out of your visit, keep the following in mind:

  • There are more than 21,000 petroglyphs scattered around the area, although some are much easier to see than others. For those that are easy to find, stop and admire these incredible historic images. Don’t rush!
  • Always bring water as you hike the area as it can be quite hot.
  • Proper footwear is a must. Portions of the trail can be quite rocky.
  • Stop and read any interpretive signs. This is a great way to learn about the area and truly appreciate some of the things you are seeing.
  • Stop into the visitor center for more information and to receive answers to any of your questions.
