Nambé Waterfalls and Lake Recreation Area is a special place that's located within the Pueblo of Nambé. With its gorgeous location in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, anyone would enjoy spending a day or longer here.

While the falls are natural, there's a dam built above to supply irrigation to the Pojoaque Valley.
To get to Nambé Falls, you'll have to take one of two short trails, each one is ¼-mile long. One trail leads to the upper portion of the falls while the other...
...leads along and then through the river to the lower part of the falls. Here you'll also find a beach.
It's imperative that you bring water shoes with you for the trek and also a waterproof bag for your belongings.
When you get to the falls, it's a wonderful place to take a dip, cool off, and enjoy the surrounding scenery!
