This Teeny Roadside Restaurant In New Jersey Is A Must-Stop For Summer BBQ

Roadside barbecue is a big thing in some parts of South Jersey. If you’re headed down Routes 40, 49, 30, or 206, there's a good chance that you'll come across someone tending a smoker and an oil drum. One of the most iconic roadside barbecue spots in New Jersey is Uncle Dewey’s Outdoor Barbecue Pavilion. It's only open on weekends from May-October but it's absolutely a must-visit.

Uncle Dewey's has been serving up some of the best BBQ in South Jersey for over 14 years.

There's not much to this roadside spot but it's got everything you need for a fantastic BBQ experience.

Reviewers rave about the sauce, brisket, pulled pork, hush puppies and friendly service. They've also got hot dogs if you're craving quick, easy eats. The Southern-style ribs fall off the bone and the BBQ chicken is heavenly. You really can't go wrong - fans say it's worth a trip from anywhere in the state.
