The Best New Jersey Restaurant That You Haven’t Heard Of Yet Is Kimchi Smoke
I’m always intrigued by over-the-top foods and unique dining concepts – this New Jersey restaurant offers both. It may not be as iconic as White Manna or The Lobster House…yet…but we believe it will be.
Kimchi Smoke is an Asian fusion restaurant of sorts, serving up Korean-style Texas barbecue and other innovative eats.
Though the restaurant has only been around since 2016, it's already made major waves. It's won numerous awards and was selected as the best BBQ joint in New Jersey by Food & Wine Magazine.
The spectacular selection includes Korean BBQ Ribs, General Tso's Chicken Tacos, and specialty sandwiches like the NYC-XXX - pork belly, sweet gochu glaze, scallions, and slaw on ramen buns.
There are bowls and boxes, too. Try the Seoul bowl with bulgogi, rice, scallions, and bourbon chipotle sauce or the Smoke Box II with brisket, pork shoulder, chili & cheese, and corn bread.
They've also got savory small plates and sides including K-Town dogs and cholander fries (pulled pork, smoked kimchi, cheese, scallions, and bourbon chipotle sauce).
The Chonut is their most popular item. It's your choice of meat, bourbon chipotle sauce, smoked kimchi, cheese, bacon, and scallions on a glazed donut. Yum!
