I went to college in New Brunswick at Rutgers University, and the Easton Avenue dining section of the popular college town is very familiar to me. Like most college students, I had a big appetite and not that big a wallet, so one restaurant in the area was a common friend to me – Noodle Gourmet, maybe the best noodle shop in New Jersey. This hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant has gained a big fanbase among students for its reasonable prices, huge portions, and extensive menu of Chinese-American classics and authentic specials that are hard to find outside of Chinatown. The restaurant underwent an extensive closure of its seating area post-2020, only operating for take-out and delivery, but it’s now back open in full. Read on to discover how it’s changed and what’s just as good as ever!
